Ultrasonic cavitation, also called ultrasonic lipolysis, is a body contouring treatment that is used to remove fat deposits under your skin. Lipo cavitation was developed as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Lipo cavitation is an FDA-approved, non-surgical, fat-reduction option that uses ultrasound to break up fat under the skin. The fat is dissolved, absorbed into the body and expelled naturally. The procedure is simple in regards to the application. A gel is applied to the skin to act as a conduit. The ultrasonic waves are calibrated to a frequency that only treats fat, so, unlike liposuction, there is no risk of damaging other elements within the body. Each session lasts about 30 minutes to an hour, and results can be seen almost right away. An added benefit of lipo cavitation is that there are no FDA limits to where you can use it on the body. The most common feedback, besides almost instant results, is that lipo cavitation is more comfortable than coolsculpting. In conjunction with Radio Frequency (RF), the heating and cavitation effects can also promote collagen realignment and as a result will tighten the skin and reduce wrinkles.
